Hi, my name is Frances Simon and I am a Speech and drama coach and founder of the personal management agency: Nurture Talent.
I am from Mill-Hill in London where a lot of the streets I remember were named after Shakespeare. Perhaps that is where my love for the stage started at the tender age of 6! I am a professional actress who received a full scholarship to train at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy. This was before it was absorbed into Central School of Speech and Drama. I qualified with the Acting Academy Diploma with Distinction. Following my training, I attended The Arts Educational School and received a BA honours in Acting where I obtained a 2:1 with City University. I worked as an Actress in T.V and Radio, before a 10 month National Theatre Tour which brought me to York where I settled with my husband. We now reside in York with our beautiful daughter.
The things I love to do include coaching students for the internationally recognised LAMDA exams, running my established talent agency Nurture Talent, writing screen-plays, parenting my daughter (who leads a very busy life as a York Minster chorister), not to mention keeping the romance ticking with my husband!
Let's work together
I am a York based Mum, so I know what it’s like to work with young people, and I have such a big heart for drama, theatre and the acting world. I love to share my passion with the next generation and to inspire them to go for their dreams! You never know what might be possible! I’m an experienced actor, public speaker, voice coach and Event Organiser. I’m also an experienced LAMDA Speech and Drama Coach, working independently at York Theatre Royal and also as part of Stagecoach York and at St Peter’s York.
I love to equip people with skills and techniques to enable them to flourish when professional opportunities present themselves!!
After all: ‘Success happens when preparation meets opportunity’ (Henry Hartman)
Here are some of the adventures I’ve had in my life
I’ve also professionally acted within the corporate sector with Diversity Training Role Play Work and still turn my hand to professional commercial acting too.
